Patients brought into your care in an emergency situation or for a scheduled treatment may be in possession of a pendant or a key ring with a USB memory stick.
The USB stick contains the Medical Profile of your patient: it will inform you about his/her medical history, blood type, current medication, allergy, identity and emergency contacts.
The Profile has been compiled by your patient. The content of this software program has been reviewed with medical doctors. We advise our customers to consult their GP or pharmacist if they have any hesitation when completing the medical and medicinal information.
Insert the USB stick into your computer. Follow the start-up routine as foreseen in your operating system.
The USB stick content will now appear on your screen. You can choose either to open the “My Medical Profile” read-only screen or you can choose to open the .jpeg version of that same screen that you then will be able to print.
You will not be able to access or change the data filled out by your patient as they are encrypted and password protected.
The USB memory stick is guaranteed virus-free when it leaves our premises.
Furthermore we take preventive software measures to make it quite impossible for the average user to download data other than the ones it was designed for.
